This position is offered at either Bell s main campus inFort Worth, Texas or the Shelton, Connecticut office. Relocation to theDallas/Fort Worth area is available. For those in the CT area, Bell sShelton office allows candidates to work remotely on the same diverse range ofexciting programs without having to relocate. Travel to the main campusin Fort Worth for coordination meetings, testing, and other on-site activitiescan be expected. For either location, travel to various suppliers may beexpected depending on the assignment.

The Rotor System Analysis Engineer is responsible foranalysis activities related to preparation and release of engineering data forcomplex rotor system components including blades, hubs, swashplates, shafts,bearings and other supporting components as well as subsystem integration.Furthermore, the Rotor System Analysis Engineer supports the manufacturing,assembly and validation of these mechanical components. Finally, the RotorSystem Analysis Engineer ensures compliance with all best practices, customerand industry specifications in support of air vehicle performance and safety requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create detail, assembly and installation rotorsystem design definition utilizing FEM software and other various analyticaltools.

  • Support manufacturing and testing of rotorsystem components and sub-systems interpreting technical data and assisting inproduct improvements.

  • Improve detail, assembly and installation rotorsystem design definition utilizing FEM software and other various analyticaltools.

  • Participate in a cross functional teamenvironment completing a variety of objectives depending on the programlifecycle assigned.

  • Advance the state-of-the-art rotor systemthrough creative thought, personal and team research, technical compliance andstrong analysis skills.

  • Qualifications

    Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospaceengineering is required. Other equivalent engineering disciplines will beconsidered with applicable experience.

  • Master s Degree in the Engineering as describedabove is preferred.

  • Position Requirements:

  • At least 9 years of experience in the aerospace industry,particularly rotorcraft, is preferred. Other industry experience will beconsidered.

  • Analysis of rotor system components such asblades, hubs, swashplate, bearings, shafting, etc.

  • Significant experience with structural analysistools such as ANSYS Workbench or MAPDL, NASTRAN, PATRAN, Mathcad, Matlab, etc.

  • Working knowledge of GD&T requirements.

  • Proficiency with basic office computersoftware, specifically the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint,Outlook, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a teamenvironment and ability to articulate technical data and concepts to a wide audienceof individuals of different technical backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritizea variety of activities and tasks while dealing with change.

  • Strong analytical ability.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a precisionmanufacturing environment focused on rotor system components such as blades,hubs, swashplate, bearings, shafting, etc.

  • Experience working with PLM software such asENOVIA to drive product lifecycle.

  • Previous experience working on cross functionalengineering programs.

  • Proficiency withengineering design definition including 2D/3D modeling, requirement capture andspecification development.
